“Capture the Magic of Our Carnival & Circus Extravaganza”

Immerse in the carnival-circus fusion through a mosaic of vibrant elements—whirling lights, lively music, whimsical performers—crafting a captivating atmosphere that embodies the unique charm of both worlds.

RULES:

• Each team must make a reel of 60s, showcasing the various elements that reflect the theme of Meteora.
• The team has to incorporate Meteora and their team name in the video.
• ONE ENTRY PER TEAM.
• Participants are prohibited to use any videos or pictures from the internet.
• The reel needs to be shared on each college's official Instagram account, and it needs to be collaborated with the Meteora Instagram account.
• The following hashtags must be used for the entries to be eligible for evaluation: #meteora2024 #donboscocollege #paradeintoparadise.
• The last day to submit entries is 30th January 2024.

Judging criteria: Cinematography, Creativity, Adherence to Theme, Originality.

A thrilling magazine making event for you to hop on to the carnival bandwagon and unleash your creativity by showcasing your storytelling prowess as you bring to life all your preparations for our spectacular event, Meteora!

RULES:

• The magazine should be a photo magazine based on the theme.
• Meteora's logo should be present in the magazine. However, the font style, colour and design can be of your choice.
• It should consist of 10 pages front and back (5 pages with designs on each side of the page).
• The magazine needs to be submitted as an e-copy on the drive link provided before 30 January 2024.

Judging criteria: Creativity, Concept and Adherence to Theme.

RULES:

• Each team will be allotted a Meteora themed topic as their team name.
• The team has to introduce themselves creatively, based on their respective team names
• Any pre-recorded tracks or audio tracks should be submitted through the provided google drive link before 30 January 2024.
• Use of recycled and eco friendly materials is encouraged to make any props or floats.
• For safety purposes, all participants should avoid the use of fire or any hazardous materials.

RULES:

• Each team should pick specific props related to the event theme - “Carnival Circus extravaganza”.
• Teams are responsible for acquiring or creating their props; No props will be provided by the organisers.
• No indecent costumes, language, or gestures should be portrayed in any form.
• Participants must submit their audio files to the provided link
• Negative marking for exceeding time limit.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

RULES:

• Every team should adhere to their specific themes.
• Participants are requested to report 15 mins prior to the given timings.
• All media including audio and visuals intended to use for the performance are to be submitted on the drive link provided before January 30.
• Any form of obscenity will lead to disqualification of the team
• Teams have to bring their own props. No props will be provided by the organizing committee.
• 1 Narrator is optional (not included in the no. of total participants)
• Negative marking for exceeding the time.

Judging criteria: Adherence to the Theme, Originality and Confidence, Hair and Makeup Skills, Creativity and Overall Presentation.

Note: Each team while registering online will be presented with a list of fashion show themes on the form; the participating team must pick any theme as per their choice. Only a first-come, first-served basis will be used for this procedure

If you think you have what it takes, dazzle your way through with your talent and charisma to claim the coveted titles under the big top of the carnival circus!

Venue: Round 1 & 2 - AV Hall
Round 3 & 4 - Don Bosco Oratory stage

ROUND 1: TALENT ROUND

• Participants have to showcase their talent in a performative manner
• Each participant gets a maximum of 2 minutes to showcase their talent on stage.
• Any props, instruments and any other requirement for the performance must be arranged by the participant itself.

ROUND 2: SURPRISE ROUND

• Will be revealed on the day of the event to the participants

ROUND 3: RAMP WALK & INTRODUCTION

• 10 participants will be shortlisted (5 boys & 5 girls).
• Participants must walk down the ramp dressed elegantly, creatively, and presentably
• Following the walk, participants must introduce themselves and their outfit

Judging criteria: Ramp Walk, Stage Presence and Creativity of the Outfit.

ROUND 4: QUESTION ROUND

• In the final stage, every contestant will have a question asked by the judges that will evaluate their persona, attitude and promptness

• Items that are prohibited are: Spray paints, readymade material (eg. stickers), Reference material of any kind.
• A surprise element will be revealed during the event itself.
• Negative marking for exceeding the time and untidy workspace.
• Engagement in any unfair practices during the competition will lead to direct disqualification

• Any kind of disrespectful behaviour towards the judges or the organizing team will lead to direct disqualification.
• The decision of the judges will be final and binding
